Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine

The Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) is the first veterinary medical program located at a historically black college or university in the United States. The college has educated more than seventy percent of the nation’s African American veterinarians and is recognized as the most diverse veterinary school in the country. Its academic programs span clinical science, pathobiology, biomedical science, research training, and public health, all aligned with the One Health framework that connects animal and human health.

As TUCVM expanded its educational and clinical mission, leaders needed tools to organize evaluations, track competencies, and support accurate reporting across its academic departments and teaching hospital. Coordinators required a unified system to handle complex documentation needs while preparing consistent reports for accreditation and continuous improvement.

With Medtrics, TUCVM centralizes evaluations, streamlines case log documentation, and provides faculty and program directors with real-time visibility into student performance. The system supports organized workflows that reduce manual effort and help faculty deliver timely feedback across clinical and laboratory settings.

By strengthening assessment processes, TUCVM maintains clearer oversight of its veterinary training programs and supports reliable reporting for accreditation. Medtrics reinforces the college’s commitment to developing skilled, compassionate veterinarians prepared to serve diverse communities and advance the One Health mission.
